Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Man with Van Hounslow is committed to conducting its operations in a responsible, transparent, and ethical manner. This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our own operations and throughout our supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to respect human rights and to act with integrity in all our business relationships.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Man with Van Hounslow provides transport, removals, and related logistical services to residential and commercial customers. Our activities are primarily based in the United Kingdom, supported by a network of drivers, operatives, and selected third-party suppliers. These suppliers may provide vehicles, fuel, equipment, maintenance, storage, and ancillary services that enable our day-to-day operations.

We recognise that elements of the logistics and transport sector can be vulnerable to labour exploitation, particularly where temporary, migrant, or subcontracted labour is involved. We therefore take proactive steps to understand and address these risks within our supply chain.

Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery

We operate a clear zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, servitude, and child labour. This applies to all aspects of our business, including employees, contractors, agency workers, and all suppliers and business partners. Any form of coercion, abuse, or exploitation is strictly prohibited and will never be accepted or ignored.

Our zero-tolerance stance is communicated through our policies, contractual terms, onboarding processes, and ongoing engagement with staff and suppliers. Where we identify a breach, or a credible risk of breach, we will act promptly, which may include suspending work, terminating relationships, or referring matters to the relevant authorities.

Supplier Standards and Due Diligence

We expect all suppliers and service providers working with Man with Van Hounslow to uphold the same high standards. As part of our due diligence process, we assess suppliers on their approach to labour practices, working conditions, and human rights. We give preference to those who can demonstrate clear policies and controls to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.

Our standard supplier terms require compliance with all applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws. We reserve the right to request information on working practices, recruitment processes, and employee welfare as a condition of working with us.

Supplier Audits and Monitoring

To help ensure compliance with our standards, we carry out proportionate checks and audits on selected suppliers, particularly where we identify a higher risk of labour exploitation. These may include reviewing documentation, visiting supplier premises where appropriate, and discussing their policies and procedures to safeguard workers.

If concerns are raised during an audit or review, we work with the supplier to agree corrective actions and timescales. Where issues are not resolved to our satisfaction, we may discontinue the relationship. We continue to review and refine our audit processes to reflect emerging risks and best practice.

Training and Awareness

We promote awareness of modern slavery risks among our management and staff, particularly those involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management. Training and guidance focus on recognising warning signs, understanding our internal policies, and knowing how to respond if concerns arise. We encourage an open culture in which questions can be raised and discussed without fear.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

Man with Van Hounslow encourages anyone connected with our business, including workers and suppliers, to speak up if they suspect modern slavery, human trafficking, or any related abuse. Concerns can be raised through internal management channels or through designated reporting routes explained during induction and supplier onboarding.

Reports can be made confidentially, and we do not tolerate any form of retaliation against individuals who raise genuine concerns in good faith. All reports are treated seriously, reviewed promptly, and investigated where appropriate. Where necessary, we will cooperate fully with law enforcement or regulatory bodies.

Continuous Improvement and Annual Review

We acknowledge that combating modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility that requires constant vigilance and improvement. We regularly review our policies, risk assessments, and due diligence processes to ensure they remain effective and proportionate to the nature of our operations and supply chains.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed and updated at least once every year. As part of the annual review, we evaluate the effectiveness of our actions, consider feedback from staff and suppliers, and take account of changes in legislation, guidance, and sector best practice. Where opportunities for improvement are identified, we implement targeted actions and monitor their impact over time.

This statement reflects the position of Man with Van Hounslow for the current financial year and has been approved by the company’s leadership, who are responsible for ensuring that the commitments set out here are implemented throughout our operations.
